Loki is known as the trickster god of Norse mythology. According to some sources, he is the son of Fárbauti and Laufey and the brother of Helblindi and Býleistr. Loki is the father of Hel, Narfi, the wolf Fenrir and the world serpent Jörmungandr. And strangely enough Loki is also known as the mother of Odin's 8-legged horse Sleipnir (after shape shifting into a mare and courting the stallion Svaðilfari.
Freya (also known as Freyja) is the Norse goddess of love. Accompanied by her boar named Hildisvini and her two cats who pulled her chariot.
This stunning carving also includes details such as Freya's cloak of falcon feathers which allows her to fly and her famous necklace called Brisingamen.
The magnificent battles and powerful characters of ancient Norse sagas come to life in this special Viking collection.
In these works, I capture the essence of my favorite tales and characters so that other mythology buffs and Viking enthusiasts like me, can feel like they are holding a real artifact from times when Thor made thunder with his hammer, Loki played his games and tricks, and Odin and his raven watched overall.
